As part of their sponsorship, Berkely Vale Motors will be providing Community of Purpose with a brand new i800 eight seat vehicle which will allow the newly formed community interest company to deliver programmes that have a huge impact in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Community of Purpose CEO Amy Kington said:

“It’s great that we’ll be delivering programmes that tackle real social issues in our City like homelessness, education, health, unemployment and social inclusion. The vehicle is already being used by 30 primary schools as part of the Bristol Together Championships, a programme designed to help cross gender; race; class; geographical faith boundaries in our communities.

Mayor Marvin Rees, said:

“Berkely Vale Motors have always been big supporters of community projects and it’s great to see Bristol based companies taking positive steps to make our city a better place to live, learn and work.

Nigel Hawkins, Managing Director of Berkely Vale Motors (BVM), said:

“As a family run business we have always supported our local community. Working together with Community of Purpose we will empower people and communities to overcome big challenges.”

Building on the success of its predecessor, the new i800 stands apart due to its smart design and unlike most other cars in its class it comes with 8 seats rather than seven, so there’s always plenty of room for passengers and luggage. The sliding doors allow easy access for passengers and the enhanced safety features ensures the safest of journeys.

Gary Bennett, Dealer Principle at BVM, said: “We want to do good in our community. We recognise that our staff and customers have come to recognise that this sets us apart from our competitors. Our core values are very clearly aligned with Community of Purpose and the great work that they do and we are looking forward to a long-lasting relationship which benefits Bristol communities.
